After all, your friends and relatives would ask both of you how you proposed, so you might as well do something unforgettable and worth sharing.
The best way to do this is to make the type of proposal in tune with her personality. Listed below are a few suggestions that can help you plan the perfect proposal for your lady.
A touch of tradition
When you have a traditionalist for a girlfriend, you don’t have to look too far with the proposal idea. You can always pull it off through a classic dinner. Now, there are two ways you can do this: take her to a really good restaurant or cook the food yourself.
The former is a classic and needs no further tutorial, but it still has the pressure of the public’s peering eyes. If you want privacy (more importantly, if SHE puts a high premium on privacy), go with the latter, although you would have to practise your culinary skills. Well, you can always hire a private chef if your culinary expertise is limited to pushing buttons on a microwave. Just choose the perfect venue for the occasion.
A dose of thrill
For an adventurous girlfriend, you have to plan a thrilling activity during which you can pop the question. There are many options to choose from, such as conquering a mountain and proposing at the summit, going skydiving and popping the question before the jump, and creating a scavenger hunt that doubles as a nostalgia trip to the first day you met and other similar romantic occasions.
A dash of lavishness
If you’re willing to shell out a small fortune for the proposal, go for grand ideas. Plan a weeklong vacation somewhere far and schedule different activities to mask the secret agenda of popping the question. Or, if you want a dramatic touch, airplane letters in the sky, or a hot-air balloon ride can do the trick.
Whatever gimmick you pull off to make the proposal, it wouldn’t be perfect without a ring. Let us at Robert H Parker & Sons help you get the best engagement ring for her to get that “yes” you want to hear.
